Traditional counseling programs often focus solely on the child, neglecting the crucial role of family dynamics in emotional development. Family intervention in counseling programs has emerged as a promising approach to addressing these issues by involving caregivers in the therapeutic process. This study aims to evaluate the impact of family-centered counseling programs on the emotional well-being of children diagnosed with emotional disturbances. A quantitative research design was employed, involving 120 children and their families, recruited from three counseling centers. Participants were randomly assigned to either a family intervention group or a standard counseling group. Data were collected over 12 weeks using validated instruments, including the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) and the Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale (FACES). Statistical analyses included paired t-tests and regression modeling to assess the effectiveness of the interventions. The results indicated that children in the family intervention group showed significant improvements in emotional regulation, reduced behavioral issues, and enhanced family cohesion compared to the standard counseling group. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating family dynamics into counseling programs to achieve better outcomes for emotionally disturbed children.
2025-03-07T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Rini Ambarwati, Marcus Tan, Isabelle Ng https://journal.ypidathu.or.id/index.php/rpoc/article/view/1860 Neuropsychology and Therapeutic Techniques: Influence on Patients with Mood Disorders 2025-01-15T23:53:44+07:00 Nur Rohmatillah rohmatillah.irma@gmail.com Agustin Andhika Putri agustineputry3@gmail.com Catur Budi Susilo catursusilo44@gmail.com Budhy Ermawan budhytablet@gmail.com
Mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, are pervasive mental health conditions that significantly impair emotional regulation, cognitive functioning, and daily life. Advances in neuropsychology have provided valuable insights into the neural mechanisms underlying mood disorders, yet their integration into therapeutic interventions remains underexplored. This study investigates the influence of neuropsychological principles on the effectiveness of therapeutic techniques in managing mood disorders. The research aimed to evaluate the impact of neuropsychology-informed therapeutic techniques on emotional regulation, cognitive performance, and symptom severity in patients with mood disorders. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining a randomized controlled trial (RCT) with qualitative interviews. The study involved 120 participants diagnosed with mood disorders, divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group received a 10-week program integrating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and neurofeedback training, while the control group received standard care. Findings revealed significant improvements in emotional regulation and cognitive functioning among the intervention group compared to the control group (p < 0.01). Participants in the intervention group also reported reduced symptom severity and increased resilience.
2025-03-07T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Nur Rohmatillah, Agustin Andhika Putri, Catur Budi Susilo, Budhy Ermawan https://journal.ypidathu.or.id/index.php/rpoc/article/view/1861 Resilience Development through Counseling Programs: Stress Coping Skills 2025-01-15T23:56:56+07:00 Sutrisno Sutrisno maseltris@gmail.com Felipe Souza felisouza@gmail.com Bruna Costa brunacosta@gmail.com Ilham Mirsal ayahilham234@gmail.com
Stress is a prevalent issue impacting individuals’ mental health and well-being, requiring effective interventions to enhance resilience. This study investigates the development of resilience through counseling programs, focusing on improving stress coping skills. The research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of structured counseling interventions in enhancing individuals’ ability to manage stress and build resilience. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-test measures. The participants consisted of 120 individuals experiencing moderate to high stress levels, divided into intervention and control groups. The intervention group participated in an 8-week counseling program that integrated cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, mindfulness practices, and stress management strategies. Data were collected using standardized resilience and stress-coping questionnaires, and the results were analyzed using paired t-tests and ANCOVA. The findings revealed significant improvements in the resilience and stress-coping abilities of participants in the intervention group compared to the control group (p < 0.01). Participants reported enhanced emotional regulation, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to stressors. The study concludes that counseling programs focusing on stress-coping skills are effective in fostering resilience. These findings highlight the importance of integrating such programs into mental health interventions to promote well-being and adaptability in diverse populations.

2025-03-07T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Sutrisno Sutrisno, Felipe Souza, Bruna Costa https://journal.ypidathu.or.id/index.php/rpoc/article/view/1856 Adolescent Mental Health in the Digital Age: Evaluation of a Mobile App-Based Therapy Program 2025-01-14T10:48:02+07:00 Le Hoang Nam lehoangnam@gmail.com Pham Anh Tu phamanh@gmail.com Ramin Rahimi raminramini@gmail.com
Adolescent mental health is increasingly impacted by the pervasive use of digital technology, with rising rates of anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation.
